# Transaction Types

The **transaction type code** says what kind of record a transaction is. The
same four codes cover both sales and purchases.

| Code | Name | Description |
|------|------|-------------|
| C | Copy | A copy of a transaction already recorded. |
| N | Normal | An ordinary sale or purchase, the everyday case. |
| P | Proforma | A proforma invoice, not a final one. |
| T | Training | A record made while training, not a real transaction. |
