# Purchase Receipt Types

The **purchase receipt type code** tells you whether a purchase document is a
plain purchase or a credit note raised against one.

| Code | Name | Description |
|------|------|-------------|
| **P** | Purchase | Purchase. |
| **R** | Credit Note after Purchase | Credit note issued after a purchase. |
